Jonas Stephan and Steven Turek as Speaker
JONAS STEPHAN AND STEVEN TUREK PRESENT 30 TRAINERS IN FRONT OF KNAPP
At the beginning of July 2017, the Institute for Youth Football presented a new live seminar at the Kamen / Kaiserau sports school. But not only the team of speakers (Steven Turek and Jonas Stephan) was an innovation, the topics were also redesigned especially for this seminar. First, Steven Turek explained the concept of "pressing resistance".
WHAT IS PRESSING RESISTANCE?
"... is the ability to identify opposing pressing, to resist it and to overplay it in a targeted manner".
In this way, the participants received information to improve their kick-off situations and their game structure against opposing opponents.
By the way: Pressing resistance has been published as a booklet / eBook.
MEDIATION AS A KEY
In the second part, Steven Turek laid the foundations for the development of forms of training. "I am asked time and again how I specifically derive game types from training situations. I wanted to do justice to that and demonstrate this once." But that is not enough. He spoke generally about principles for learning, the structure of training forms and possible combinations of different training forms.
Jonas Stephan was a new speaker. The youth trainer of a youth performance center theoretically worked out possibilities in the counter game. He differentiated between the counter preparation and the actual execution. So he underlined principles with numerous scenes from "big" football.
TRAINING WEEK, TRAINING MONTH, TRAINING YEAR
The conclusion was formed by training forms for counterplay and their integration into a training week and beyond. The developed training units from the first part were put in relation to each other and tailored to trainers who have different numbers of training forms available.
Peter Schreiner about the seminar:
"It was a really successful seminar. New topics and new speaker combinations are always a risk and an opportunity at the same time. In that case it was really worth it and I am looking forward to new seminars with Steven and Jonas."
